Raízen is going to supply renewable energy certificates
Energy used in the event is going to be compensated for by way of certificates generated in its ethanol, sugar and bioelectricity producing units.
Raízen will be the official supplier of renewable energy certificates to the 8th World Water Forum. The event, which is taking place between March 18 and 23 in Brasília (DF), is likely to use some 432,000 kWh of energy, which will be compensated for in an equivalent amount by way of renewable energy certificates that are generated in one of Raízen’s ethanol, sugar and bioelectricity producing units. The company uses bagasse, which comes from the sugarcane crushing process for producing sugar and ethanol, as a renewable source for generating electricity.
